Your Online Newsfeed Could be Programming Your Negative MindSet

Have you ever considered that the time you are spending online is programming you to have a negative mindset?

Over the last few weeks I have been paying close attention to the amount of time I spend online and what exactly it is that I am reading.

I noticed myself, as most people do, waking up, jumping online and reading my news feeds only to find that post after post is filled with negativity.

I began to question, “What exactly is this doing to my thought patterns?”. The simple answer is, programming my mind with negative thoughts.

Whoa! That’s huge.

I started tuning in to exactly what I was reading from post updates by friends and family.

The news, videos and photographs, MOST of it was NEGATIVE.

I literally found myself reading status updates that said things like “Everything Sucks Right Now” to “The World Is Coming To an End”  to “2016 was the WORST YEAR EVER”.

I had to question, what is this all doing to my subconscious thought patterns and feelings by reading these statements when scrolling throughout the day?

This can’t be good for my mental, emotional and spiritual well being, and certainly doesn’t contribute to living a life that is whole and complete with Positivity.

The deeper I looked into what I was absorbing, the more it made me question the people I am surrounded by in person and online.

Whoa Again!

With the exception of a few, I am literally surrounded by people who are in a negative mindset, and what they are posting is a definite reflection of that.

Don’t get me wrong, not EVERYTHING was “Bad News”.

A handful of it was happy puppy posts, cat videos and inspiration.

There are still those beautiful people that are on a constant path to personal growth and development.

I am so grateful for THEM.

The average American is  spending up to 40 minutes a day on Facebook alone!

That equates to 14,600 hours of your life a year.

It might be time to take a deeper look at your newsfeed and the people around you.

I encourage you, as you go throughout your day, to exam what you are reading.

Because what you are reading online, you are literally soaking into your thought patterns each and every day.

It’s time to begin reading books again, that are positive,  inspiring, and educational.

Spend less time scrolling.

We will all live better lives by making more Positive Choices. Boom Shaka Laka.
